In this book the author shares excerpts from the Scriptures and his interpretation of the deliverance from demons and diseases, together with some of his experiences and mentions few cases where people who had long-standing crippling illnesses were healed, often instantly, through deliverance.In sharing his views, the author points out that different pastors, ministers, theologians and churches hold onto different views, some of them wondering whether demons even exist. Much of this book revolves around the author attempting to convince the reader that demons exist, mainly by bringing up different Bible verses and sharing his interpretation of those verses, as well as some of his experiences.The author states that anyone can be afflicted, but people in a weakened state, either through some traumatic experience, fear, or something they did, may be more likely candidates. Contrary to what is often seen in the movies, the afflictions will most frequently manifest as any kind of mental or physical condition over which the individual may feel helpless - anything from feelings of guilt, shame, rejection, envy, jealousy, addictions, to all kinds of health problems like arthritis, scoliosis and others.The author doesn't share any elaborate instructions on deliverance along the lines of the book "Deliverance from Evil Spirits: A Practical Manual" by Francis MacNutt, but rather shares more extensive instructions on healing through prayer.The author suggest to read other books on deliverance and shares a bibliography with 43 books at the end of this book. One of the books listed, "How to heal the sick" by Charles and Francis Hunter shares a greater variety of healing techniques.
Excellent book!! Eric Hill is a blessing as I have reached out twice to him asking for prayer. He spent time talking with me and praying over me without any concern for the time he spent which he freely gives. He is as authentic as they come--he lives out the Spirit-filled life and is completely sold out for the Lord! His teachings really make you think. Would highly recommend this book!!
This book could not have arrived on a better day!! God's timing is amazing!! If you feel like you are in a place where you think you know and understand who God is and why He does all that He does, just wait until you read this book! This book gave me such a more clear look at The Lord and His words and promises and reasons suddenly became so much more clear. I've read many good books, but never has an author reached me like this to explain God's Word!! Understanding God and how and why He works has in a day brought me farther along in my journey to know better Him who I belong to! This pastor has been given an amazing spiritual gifts and he left me with matured understanding by teaching and sharing what he so clearly knows!! He knows the Lord in a way that he shares in this book that can reach the blindest and most dense!! It's clear God taught him well and helped him author his teachings in regard to these amazing truths!!Reading this book indeed increased my faith, not just strengthened it. To show me everything this author explained was as true in reality and spiritually as it seemed to be to my spirit, God sent two instant healings!! PTL!!! When I held this author's book, I can't explain why, but I literally felt as if it had been held or near one who had prayed for me and blessed me who was about to read it!! All I can say is WOW!!!
I highly recommend this book and literally consider it a Godsend. After much prayer, I found it after searching for a deliverance minister, as I was struggling with the aftermath of childhood satanic abuse. Eric Hill is absolutely correct in saying that the topic of demonic oppression has been swept under the carpet by the vast majority of churches, doing a tremendous disservice to Christians who are unknowingly (or knowingly) plagued by this problem. I was so impressed by the book, that along with a friend, we attended a home fellowship service with Mr. Hill and his wife Sunny. Their love and passion for the Lord was so genuine and palpable, as was their desire to be of service to others, without regard for any regard for financial remuneration. During the service, I personally experienced a deliverance and began sobbing intensely, and coughing and gagging violently, as demons were being cast out of me. I have no doubt that the health problems I have had my entire life are attributable to their presence. I have a healing practice and have observed that many of my clients who suffer from various physical afflictions, as well as depression and anxiety, are plagued to some extent by demonic oppression and do not recover fully, until this aspect is addressed. This book is an invaluable resource to anyone personally needing, or who knows someone needing, deliverance from demonic oppression.
Eric M. Hill has written a wonderful book about deliverance. If you are a person interested in a deliverance ministry, this is a book you should read. It is very well researched, with lots of scriptures and many real stories from the present to show that God is still working now as in the bible, and the name of Jesus is still just as powerful as ever! Good read!
This book is incredible. I have never actually met Mr. Hill but I would love to just so I could sit down and pick his brain. One warning however...this book is not for those who want to "play exorcist". It's serious. If you have never encountered demonic oppression/possession then don't think you can handle it by chanting some Bible verses and throwing around some water or oil. You will cause a lot more problems than you solve. This book will answer questions that can lead to an even deeper search for truth. I highly recommend it!
I really learned a lot from this book. There were times when I did not want to put it down. It is very well written and every detail was a great learning experience. I like when books are detailed and they are explained very plainly. Great read!
