The female protagonist goes from angry to fawning in seconds because he drugs her with his breath every 5 seconds. She loves it because it calms her down. Right. But also means she never gets to make a decision or choice using her own mind from the simplest of clothing choices to her college education. He is controlling and domineering and not in a sexy way as is every other male character in her life telling her what to do and how to behave. I expected a charming jane austen esque love story. Yes...strong men. Yes...a bit of old fashioned romance. Not rude overbearing men that apologize by drugging their women and tickling them. There is no message of her having her own mind even once in this book. I love a good bodice ripper or old fashioned romance but this was none of those things. Don't be fooled by the description....I didn't bother to finish it. The concept had such potential and her creature ideas were innovative...sort of...but the book had no momentum. I'm so sad I lost $10. Don't let your daughters read this one unless you are brainwashing them into thinking women are weak, indecisive, creatures meant to be sitting on the arm of a chair instead of working for their own money.
let me start with OMG it seemed like we waited forever for this to come out and it didnt disappoint! It was by far the best of the series....we finally get to see Danielle and Ethan get there happy ever after, but not without some kindnapping, torture, and magic...but what would a day in Danielle and Ethans lives be like if something wasnt out to get them for curing the vampire curse!In Forever we once again find Danielle and Ethans love put to the test as they are ripped apart from each other by more cursed creatures. Tired of the constant once a month break ins by the werewolves they seek help from Alohra and the faries, and from that point on the book is nothing but excitement! As there past familiarity is slowly shown to them in magic induced dreams, we get to see how they know eachother *something ive been dieing to know* they are once again torn apart and forced to seek shelter in magical cove, where we get to see more mythical creatures! and OMG the most horrifing part with possessed spiders...of all things why SPIDERS! I will be having nightmears for weeks!If you havent purchased this yet, stop waiting you will not be disappointed! *be sure to read Fateful and Fractured 1st thou....
This was a very enjoyable book I couldn't put down. I love fantasy and loved the romance between Ethan and Danielle. A magical adventure. I listened to the audio as well and Tristan did an awesome job with the voices. I look forward to the next part of the series!
What a great end to a really fun series!! Ever since I started this series last year, I was hooked on the fun story and the two main characters, Danielle and Ethan, and I couldn't wait to see what would be in store for them in book three!!One of my favorite parts about this book (and the series!) is the relationship that Danielle and Ethan have! Cheri Schmidt does a really great job showing how the two care about each other and how they are both willing to do anything for each other..which is very romantic :)I also liked the plot of this book! It wasn't too slow or too fast which was nice..and I really liked how different mythological creatures were incorporated in the book. It wasn't just a book about vampires, but it also had fairies, pixies, werewolves, witches, and more!Overall, I was really happy with the ending of this book..even though I'm sad to see the series end! If you are looking for a fun read (with British accents!!) look no further and check this series out!!
Cheri has done it again. BRAVO! This book pulls you right into the story in the first few pages. Forever has action, enchantment, passion, and so much excitement I couldn't put this story down. Between the mermaids, fairies, pixies, werewolves, witches, and more I can't tell you what my favorite part was. I love that there is true unconditional love from both Ethan and Danielle in this story. I'm a true romantic and it was breathtaking. She ended the story of Ethan and Danielle wonderfully with the happily ever after ending that the reader was cheering for. The minute I finished this book I quickly started rereading this series. Thank you for creating such an amazing and original series. I can't wait for her other books about the other characters in this series. She has developed such strong characters in these books you can't help but love them and want to know their stories too.
I haven't enjoyed a vampire series more intriguing since the Twilight Saga. I understand all stories must end but this is one I could continue reading indefinitely. I loved the characters, Danielle and Ethan the setting and course the thrilling ride the story created. Well written with a wonderful plot and detail. I'd love to see these books become a television series or movie. Bravo.
A DEFINITE READ! What can I not say. This was my second Twilight, Ethan and Rebecca. To have a love so deep is rare. True love is fighting for each other without giving thought to yourself, it is being unselfish and most all knowing you can discuss things even though you may not agree. That was Ethan and Rebecca. Not to mention this series was very well written. Love Cheri Schmidt. Can not wait to read some of her other books. Well done!
