I buy a version of this desk calendar every year, and I absolutely love it! I am a child therapist, and my kiddos always get a kick out of whatever rando holiday it is that day. For example, today (February 13th) is "Get a Different Name Day", and tomorrow we've got "Library Lovers Day" to look forward to. I haven't noticed any repeats over the years, and some of these days are excessively obscure, but it's a fun little treat to check the calendar each day to see what we're celebrating. Everything is work/office/child appropriate, so nothing too risque or scandalous. Highly recommend!
As soon as I took this out of the packaging it came apart in several sections so now has to be propped up on the stand. The "holidays" are somewhat ridiculous (National Quacker Day--what is that?) but I'm sure the creators found it difficult to find 365 things to fill the calendar. The one thing I do like is that the back of the pages have lines so I can at least use them for jotting down notes or shopping lists.
The calendar was cute, but as soon as I opened the box, pages came flying out and the majority of the calendar was in two chunks, with several pages just loose inside with no way to stik them back together. The glue had also come off the back of it and it isn't attached to the stand. The pages fall off if you bump it, too. This is very poorly bound or glued or however they stick them together. I would like a replacement. If that one is the same as this, I'll just return.
This is the second daily "holiday" calendar I have purchased. The students at the school I work at really love this and stop by my office daily to check what day it is. Anything that enriches my students' day is a winner in my book.
Hubby loves desk calendars and all the nifty holidays. This is perfect
