With men like Plato and Aristotle the Mind of Man begins to blossom, to produce fruit. Read their Books and learn about 'arete'; 'paideia'; and also 'eros'. You may be surprised to learn as Plato teaches you that "Eros; is not so simple. In fact,Eros is an energy or power that leads us along the path from what he calls 'crass Eros' to the 'Heavenly Eros';. The Greeks have so many things to teach us. The train of the authors thought in this book was a little confusing. Seemed to wander all over the place. It is a little hard to follow - sentence structures are complicated making the comprehension difficult.It needs a primer to explain some of the background as alot of the explanations assume that you know more about the history.
This book presents the philosophers and their philosophies in a logical, easy-to-understand format. The more I read the more I was drawn in.
