The written information & hyperlinks are useful but you do not get the helpful maps you get in the hard copy. In the end, I had to borrow the hard copy to look at the maps. I would advise getting the hard copy version, not the ebook.
Got the Kindle edition, wish I had gotten the paperback - easier to find your place, and something in particular you're looking for. Not as bad as the Thailand Lonely Planet, though. I'm not sure why Lonely Planet guides are such a thing, go to a B&N and flip through several other travel guides before getting this one.
I’ve used a number of Lonely Planet travel guides and all have had useful information. But this one has been a big disappointment. A number of places mentioned in the guidebook are no longer in business (or non-existent?) and there are great hotels and interesting places that are simply not mentioned in the guidebook.
Lonely Planet guidebooks are my go to resource for planning trips. There is a consistency in each book that helps in my trip planning. I enjoy planning my trip itinerary instead of having one that is pre-arranged with a tour operator.
I went to Cambodia for about 10 days during the summer of 2017 and this guide was very useful to help me read up on Cambodia before and during my trip there. I still read it from time to time just because I think Cambodia is a fascinating country. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended!
