I suppose I cannot criticize this book too harshly; it does provide what it says it does. It does have 4 practice tests that were previously administered, and it does have "tips" (not really that good).The reason I give the book this relatively low rating is because of the practicality of this book. With books such as Barron's or The Princeton Review providing similar practice tests and content review, there really is no reason to buy this book over the others. This book does not provide a content review at all.I would only justify purchasing this book if you are determined to get a perfect 800 and want the most realistic practice tests available. But I believe that Barron's or The Princeton Review could also do that, perhaps even better. I would highly consider using other books to prepare for this exam.

After using a test prep book this is great for practicing. It helped me get an 790, I really recommend it.

The updated SAT Math Level 1 guide now has four tests as opposed to two tests in the previous edition of this guide.Practice Test 1 and 2 are both newly released test.Practice Test 3 (listed as Form Code 3YBC in older guide) was part of the older editions of the same guide.Practice Test 4 (listed as Form Code 3TBC2 in older guide) was part of the older editions of the same guide.This is a must have guide for students who are taking the official SAT math level 1 test. These four practice tests are the closest that you can find to the real test. Feel free to use books to learn concepts but try to stick to this guide for your practice tests. I have purchased two copies of this book for myself. It provides a modern perspective on the role of interpreting as well as a myriad of amazing resources for both the functioning aspect AND the business/professional facets of interpreting. I regularly gift this to colleagues and highly encourage departments to make this book a required text for interpretation degree-seekers. Invaluable!As a side-note: I have met this author personally. She astounds me with her knowledge and skills, acquired over a life of dedication and having attended 'the school of hard knocks', and I find her in continual service of the craft with her publication of this book. I owe many things to her personally as a student of American Sign interpretation. If you take advice from others with a grain of salt, then you should afford this wonderful lady all the salt you can spare: you will not regret it.

the book was in a wrapper but though the whole book words and letters were missing on the inside edge of every page but it was too late to send back made it though the course with an A despite the poor quality in printing

I found this book difficult to follow. I suffer from eczema and wanted to simply get to the heart of the proposed solution(s) quickly. The author shares a lot of stories about folks with skin conditions and what they did, but there doesn't appear to be a way to simply jump to SHORT summary of her specific proposed solutions. The author has a product line, Chuckling Goat, sold out of Britain, of kefir lotions and other products. It's nice when a book has a reference/link to exact products but when they're produced by the author it makes me feel as if the book is simply a sales pitch for the products.

I've suffered from IBS, allergies, and skin problems for years. I'm disillusioned with pharmaceuticals which are expensive and have harmful side effects. Shann presents a completely sensible, doable, affordable, and natural approach to healing these issues. I've already started using kefir and in 3 days have seen improvements. I highly recommend this book.

I am battling Rosacea. I am only a week into the Kefir (and bone broth) and I can honestly say I am seeing very good results. I had been to many doctors (Derm, GI, General Pract) and not one of them suggested this kind of tact. I have to give many thanks to the author for helping me try this out. I have to say the book seems a bit slanted towards her Goat Keifer as the author owns a goat farm (no surprises). There is a great deal of science based explanation here in the book for some things (good) but other topics are glazed over annoyingly (not so good). Therefore I would say the science is some what incomplete here and why I short it one star. Its a simple quick read and anyone battling tough skin conditions should give it a read. Just know there are other good reads out there too that should be complimented to this as you search for answers to your skin challenges.

What a life changer! Helped me overcome an autoimmune skin condition. Interesting, easy read that explains really well how our immune system works and how to heal body inside out. Healthy skin is just a reflection of healthy body.

Avoid this book. I feel ripped off. There is no way all the good reviews are legit. The book gives a little bit of vague info in a scant few pages. The photos of exercises are dark and hard to decipher. Some are only verbally described in a vague way. Very few exercises and little to use. It seems a minimal, poorly executed pamphlet designed to dupe you into spending eleven bucks.Get the book Psoas Strength and Flexibility. 50 useful exercises clearly explained. I've tried both books and the Psoas book is great. This book under review, however, is a waste of money

This book is about how to cure hip flexor pain. Hip flexor muscles allow us to stand and walk straight. Flexor means a bending movement around a joint. This book also goes into a lot about anatomy. A tight flexor muscle makes it so that you can't get it all the way straight. Usually people develop this problem over time. Not being active can also cause tight flexor muscles, athletics and poor posture. There is many spots the pain can be such as front hip pain, side, and groin. This problem can cause anterior pelvic tilt. As you get older peoples flexibility gets less and less. It can get better by exercises. You can do a stretch called static stretching, also yoga, pilates, dance, and tai chi. This book gives many stretches to do along with pictures. If you have this problem this is a book for you.

Amazing step by step guide, with images. If you're looking for something to help you get started with Cross Stitching this is it. The book is thorough and the images clear and helpful!

Not much information for the cost. I will say I did get 2 tips from it that have been very very helpful. So not all was lost.

I have always wanted to learn how to stitch but being born in our generation is never a guarantee than you can ever learn these old but gold art. Luckily to me after purchasing this book. I am confident that after a long practice I would have developed the art of stitching and perfection.

I am impressed with this author's work. She explains the cross stitching process well. The images are clear and self-explanatory which made it easier. Overall a great guide for anyone looking to learn the basics of Cross stitching fast.

I would not recommend this book for purchase. The layout looks as of someone typed all the information and just made a cover. I would instead recommend the Cliff notes or Barron's versions. Also the book has errors throughout. I have attached photos to illustrate one error that states the answer should be B, but then associates B with a different letter choice, the proceeds to say B is incorrect. Proof reading obviously did not happen. Too much to navigate when you are already stressed about taking the test. I would return but I missed the window. Also the guarantee of raising my score lured me, but with the errors within the book it made me doubt some of the content. So I had to do extra work to verify it. They need to produce a better product.

The information is presented in a huge chunk of uninterrupted topics that you just have to memorize. There are no practice questions in between each topic, which makes critical analysis of the information easier.The main skill you need to master to pass this test is a critical analysis of all the informtion you study.Halfway through the book I had to buy another version, since I felt that it does not help improve my score in the online practice tests I took.I recommed The Princeton Review "Cracking The CSET" book.

I bought this, the Barron's and the Cliffnotes CSET study guides. I ended up using only Cliffnotes' guide. Was the most comprehensive, with so many tests and test-taking strategies. This guide didn't even come close to what I got from Cliffnotes.

I really like this book for test prep. At first it feels like it's just jumping from topic to topic, however once you get into reading it the book is written more like flash cards. It's very structured and to the point which is refreshing given the amount of knowledge you have to have to pass the CSET. I tried Cliffnotes and found it difficult to absorb the needed information.

I think the material in it is very informative, but it can be a lot to take in and intimidating to look at. Overall it’s helped me a lot.

I like how the information is concise. The math, science, and history each have good information in about 100 pages. The study guide seems to only have information that is necessary to know for the CSET. The layout for each subject makes it easier to study. For instance, all the physics material is together. The math also nicely explains how to do each problem.

The book is well organized and easy to follow. It is the most current CSET study guide, however the constructed response are not like the ones on the actual test.The tips at the beginning are great. I have been struggling to pass this test. I am praying that this study guide is just what I need to increase my score to passing.

I am enjoying and excited to be using this book...it has a wealth of information and I appreciate the tips, how to approach the questions, the practice tests and constructed response practice questions. It also has the answers and explanations. I am very hopeful that this book is going to be the "one" to help me pass the CSET!

This is an easy to read and use book and a great activity to do with your kids, particularly if they have any speech difficulties. You can get started with a sock puppet if you like, so it's also inexpensive.

I bought this for my 7 year old who became passionate about ventriloquism after America’s Got Talent featuring Darcy. I bought a Melissa and Doug cheerleader doll, too. It seems like the book would be too adult in it’s look, but my daughter actually took to it strongly and enjoyed reading it! Other reviews were right in that kids will like this book and it gave her some great tips to get started from ground zero.

A couple of months ago, my 10-year-old decided he wanted to be a ventriloquist. I suppose part of the reason is so that he doesn't have to bother with math and spelling and talking is what he does best, but the point is, this is what he's interested in right now. My boyfriend bought him a ventriloquist puppet and I purchased this book. Late at night, my son will read the book and laugh out loud. It has scripts one can use, and according to my son, the jokes are hilarious. He loves this book, and I love that it keeps him interested in reading and learning a craft.

Honestly, I had hoped for more. It's a good book with some good tips and for the price it's not a disappointment. However, the nuts and bolts of it can be found on YouTube actually demonstrated. What this book does that they don't is get more into performance and tricks to hide the difficulties. There are certain sounds difficult to make with the mouth closed, this book does give useful tips on how to say them while actually moving your mouth and just hiding it as well as going into the actual methods you should use.

A fantastic book 5hat teaches you how to be a great ventriloquist. It covers manual pronunciation together with must needed exercises. It details puppetry, and outlines the varieties the varieties of available puppets. It gives you a variety of initial puppet selections and recommendations. Most important, it explains the varying methodologies of keeping your friend alive. Techniques such as near voice, distant voice, muffled voice and other advanced methodologies are taught. Some of these advanced techniques include singing, eating, and line switching. Had enough? Well there's lots more. Jokes and sample dialogues are also included. The author covers methods for finding and seeking these necessary techniques. The book outlines cataloging and keeping track of the best of all of these findings.When I finished the book, and had practiced all of the exercises, I performed for my wife. She said, that my lips did not move, and best of all, she was certain, that my initial friend was alive, and he did the talking.

A little hard for a 9 year old to read and process, yet easy enough to understand with adult feedback. Very helpful for a young vent who wants to master the skills and learn the letter substitutions.

I really can not say anything that others more eloquent than myself have already said. Ventriloquism seemed like a very difficult and mysterious art form before reading this book. Not anymore, the craft is broken down into clearly explained steps that are really quite easily accomplished. As any performer knows it is not the song that is sung, or magic trick that is done, or the joke that is told, it is always "how" it is performed, that is what sets apart the practitioner from the artist. This book will set you on the path of becoming an artist.

Well written. Good choice for children and adults. Fun skill to entertain.

This book should be very helpful to my 11 year old granddaughter as she learns ventriloquism. She said the puppet and this book was the best gift she got for her birthday.
