I found this story so creepy and cruel I just had to stop reading and put it down. I've read and enjoyed EVERY Jack Noble tale and put this down to read the latest Bear Logan tale, which was a GREAT relief because I enjoyed it and the first one as much as the Noble series. I don't remember the first Mitch Tanner book (although I read it), but I just couldn't get through this. Plus, it had the "idiot plot" motif where we all know the intrepid person shouldn't go "there"...and she does anyway and it's bad, really bad.It won't keep me from continuing reading L.T. Ryan, just not Mitch Tanner books.
Great read! I was mesmerized after each turn of the page. I couldn't stop reading or dreaming about it all day. I liked it as much or more than the noble series.is that possible? Yes so therefore 5 stars is a guarantee done. I just couldn't put it down for long. Thanks mr. Ryan. Can't wait for book 3,please hurry LOL thanks for keeping well entertained. Surprise after surprise I didn't see all the twists and turns coming and going to the end?. I would recommend it to all the people in the LT Ryan book group. Please hurry with book 3 again can't wait. Mitch Tanner is tough, smart and resourceful in his investigation and analysis of the situation.
LT Ryan is a good author who can make a great character in this genre. Mitch Tanner reminds me of Travis McGee, always coming out on top in the end, but going through a lot to get there and he never quite gets the lady. Ryan gives enough of his character's background to the reader to understand him and enough of it hidden to make you want to read on. I'm excited to read number 3.
Two very interesting characters. Almost like a beauty and a beast; a beautiful mystic and a churlish but likable suspended detective. The ending is really exciting with so much going on I had to read it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything. L. T. Ryan, when can I read the next book in the series???
I just could not put this book down. Every character was totally believable, the plot is intriguing and just when you think you have it all figured out L.T. Ryan throws a wrench into your theories. The only negative I can think of is that it ended...sigh....
The second in the Mitch Tanner series makes me want the third right away! Wonderful author who develops interesting story lines and characters, and his descriptions are so clear you feel you are there seeing, smelling, feeling — LT Ryan is always fun to read!
L.T. Hit it out of the park on this one. Could not put it down once I started reading. Thank goodness it was on a weekend. Keeps you guessing from page one and then being surprised at the end. Looking forward to next in series.
